Belief and faith in true love can astonishingly
encourage and inspire the power of human creativity.
The great love of the fifth Mughal Emperor of India
for his Empress “Mumtaz Mahal” drove
him to build the most beautiful tomb, the Taj Mahal.
The dignified white marble tomb is located in
the former capital of India, the city of Agra.
This white marble tomb took a total of 22 hard
years and more than 20,000 craftsmen from all
over the Kingdom of India to meticulously construct
this architectural masterpiece.
The Taj Mahal is praised to be one of the seven
Wonders of the World and stands as a symbol of
India. Each year, millions of visitors purposely
come to visit this symbol of love and romance,
and all are attracted by the beauty and the lasting
legend of love between the King Shah Jehan and
his Empress “Mumtaz Mahal”.
The Mayer Mint - Germany pays a tribute to Beauty,
Love, Legend, Poetry and Romance by issuing the
“Taj Mahal” Commemorative Coin and
Medal within its “Wonders of The World”
series. The prestigious golden coin is issued
under the authority of the Royal Monetary Authority
of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
