The Pyramids of Egypt, also known as the Great Pyramids of Giza, are the oldest and the only remaining wonder of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World. The three Egyptian Pyramids, located in Giza on the west bank of the Nile River near Cairo, are the largest and finest of all pyramids ever built in ancient Egypt.

The three Pyramids were constructed by Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops) of the forth Dynasty circa 2680 BC – 2544 BC. The largest pyramid is the Khufu Pyramid built of approximately 2.3-million blocks of limestone covering an area of 13 acres. Its original estimated size is about 482 feet high and 750 feet long. The other two smaller pyramids were built for his wives and members of the royal families.

To commemorate the greatness and mystery of the alone survival out of all the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza and Pharaoh Khufu are finely engraved on the obverse of The Pyramids of Egypt Coin minted by B.H. Mayer’s Mint – Germany, Europe’s largest and the world’s leading private mint. The superb Numismatics piece is made of excellent quality bi-metal, 999.9 fine gold & 999/- fine silver.
